Who are we?
NorthEast Wisconsin Service Dogs, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to further the independence of individuals with physical disabilities through the training and placement of Service Dogs.

Work at the University of Minnesota led to the incorporation in 1988 of a service dog organization in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, who have successfully trained and placed over 100 service dogs. Several of our people have volunteered with that organization and have a cumulative experience of more than 25 years in training service dogs. These volunteers formed NorthEast Wisconsin Service Dogs, Inc., a Wisconsin based non-profit organization, in February of 2005.
We train service dogs for people with disabilities other than blindness, deafness, seizures and cognative or emotional disorders. Many, but not all, of our recipients will use wheelchairs. Spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, post-polio syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, and other conditons may create situations that can be benefited through the efforts of a service dog.
